since the weather is a little cooler and i was home by 2pm from class i thought it would make the perfect day for some riding. Whats lame was about 4 miles out i got a phantom flat and used 2 co2's since the bead did not seat correctly the first time and the tube was ready to pop out... had to deflate and use another co2. after that fiasco, i returned home to pick up 2 more co2's and grab my frame pump.. i headed back out and ventured down bushard and over to warner towards pch. made it to bolsa chica and cruised around a bit past sunset beach.. turned around and cruised down a side street along the beach shecking out the houses, noogs and the like.. i ventured further down the MUP that parallels PCH and the coast.. bolsa chica was not too busy, but i did finally figure out where that dog beach was.. its just north of beach blvd. on pch if you didn't know.. the closer i got to main, the more and more people were there.. mainly a younger crowd, those high school and college students that have not started yet... did some frothin, along the boardwalk and refilled my bottle. return trip was pretty uneventful... tally is a little over 30 miles and travel time was about two hours...

tried out some drop bars on the bike that i picked up from carl, i think with some tweaking around it will work out ok.. i need a diff stem..

crazy house on that street i was cruisin down

yup i'm tracking my progress on my 305 and there are days where i feel like im going slow, but when i look at the data my pace and time is better/faster than the previous ride on the same route. So it's cool to see the improvements.

My commute is 17 miles each way w/ the ride home being all uphill w/ a good climb at the end.

Having a HRM is great too to keep an eye on myself before i blow up LOL

AND YES!!! Mtn biking has become something new for me now...i recently cleaned cholla middle ring on my 29'er something that i didnt/couldnt do before...in fact i did the entire ridge in middle...so i have to start trying to climb mathis now

haha your cold as ice Nam!

I actually just saw the trailer for NWD9 and I think I'm ready to do some more crashing on the big bike again. :)

The Road bike has been in the back of my mind for a while now though, just looking for a good time to commit. Maybe if a deal comes along.
The question is whether or not I'm up to shaving my legs. ;)

haha what if I just wear spandex pants?

Just to clarify, the official Dog Beach is actually north of Goldenwest, along the cliffs, with the main section being near Seacliff.

For other encounters with coastal wildlife, try the Newport Peninsula, also known as Cougar Beach.
