Date has been set for the Julian Death March. Saturday May 24[SUP]th[/SUP], 2014 on Memorial Day Weekend so you will have 2 days to recover!

Routes of 50, 64 and 86 miles with elevation gains of 7,000 9,000 or over 12,000 feet! Courses are a mix of pavement, dirt, double track, and single track with awesome views! An adventurous day in the saddle. Most racers opt for the 50 or 64 mile courses with only 10 to 20 percent going for the long course of 86 miles.

    or phone 760-473-4784

^- link above might need edited to read http://www.julianactive.com/Julian7500.htm as the post included the phone number info in the URL and isn't working.

I will have to keep this in mind. Lots of clmibing and saddle time but I've heard it's a fun event.

This looks very tempting, but me thinks I'd die along the way. Need to train...

A little over a month out. Local rider Sam is willing to take people out on weekends. Text or phone him at 951-501-9242

Three distances. For those worried, the 50 miler is fun and doable and there is a way to bail to make it around 43 with less climbing at the end.

    I'm signed up... Can't wait. :)

I'd love to shoot for the full ride, but the 64 will probably be more than enough.

Sunday May 11, '14 I plan on pre-riding the 64 mile loop. Want to start by 8:00am. Rode the 22 mile loop a week ago in 2:43 riding/moving time, and a variation of the 50 mile route yesterday in 5:41 moving/riding time. Each time stumbled around a bit, trying to follow the gps route.
    Anyone else want to ride?
    Thanks, Steve
