I went to order the new crankset for my bike and its stock status was "Expected on July 21"

Anyone have any experience with the accuracy of these dates?:?:

I have been off the bike for awile now and am itching to get back on](*,) , but another month of waiting for it to come in stock is gonna blow:protest: . I know there are other places that carry it but @ $195.99 i think it's a good price.

P.S. How bout the new look of Jenson?

My experience is this, 2 out of 3 times the item was in stock before the "expected date" and the other the item took longer to come in than the listed "expected by" date. Not bad IMO for an online vendor.

Call em up, they're real nice over the phone. A lot of businesses like to overestimate dates and such to givie them a little bit of a cushion before the customer starts to get upset.

I agree. My wife wanted to get me some shorts for Father's Day, online it said they were out of stock and they really hadn't planned on ordering any. She called them and two days later they had a pair for me. \\:D/

Jenson was a few days quicker than expected for me also. If you really need the cranks fast, you can use Beyond's or Cambria's price match. They usually don't check for items in stock.

I've had two instances where Jenson showed out of stock and I still had it the next day. Now I'm waiting on a bash guard that I was hoping they would do the same with. No such luck but I'm confident in their promise dates. Jenson and Price Point are the only mail orders I'll use anymore. Highly reputable and lightning fast shipping. Whatever you do, don't use Beyond Bikes. Trust me on this one. I've heard good things on Cambria but no personal experience. Another option - print out the web page and take it to Performance to see if they'll price match.

I tried that already, since it said not in stock, they wouldn't do it

That is when you remove the "out of stock" disclaimer via photoshop....not that I've ever done it or anything.. 8-[
