This is not a timed event......This makes my wife happy. She is actually going to get to ride one of the events instead of having to take care of timing.\\:D/\\:D/

Yep, even the person who comes in "last", could "win" based on the random fun events throughout.

What's the sport in that?

I've heard Steve is pretty good at the helmet toss.

So, what you are saying is that I have a chance!!!

I'm thinking of signing up for this too. I actually rode 3 times this past week, a new record for me. I'm planning on doing two midweek rides from now up until this event. Anyone else want to do this?

edit: just re-read the event, not even close to a race.

Matt now we'll just have to team up for the 24 hour race

No, I'll be back there keeping you company. Last couple years I made out at these events. Lot's of swag and they make sure everybody gets something (even if it doesn't fit, lol). It's not a timed event, but everyone goes out pretty hard and the games are fun. Keep your eyes out for the litlle plastic frogs. I won a 400 dollar wheelset with one.

I'm going to go ahead and register for this and hope that I can improve my fitness enough by the time the day of the event rolls around.

 Heres to being in the back, lol.

Jose, Agustin, lets do this! I'll register this week most likely. I've done the HJ to Trabuco ride a couple times but have never ridden in from the dirt road. I've always driven back to the HJ parking lot. I imagine the "ass-factor" to be kickin' in very hard on this ride. Should be fun though!

I plan on registering this week as well, I just need to make sure my employer won't be needing me that weekend.

I'm thinking about it too DINO (what happened to sir Hucklehoff?). I gotta say I like the "not timed" factor.

It doesn't seem like much, but the extra dirt road (not including the extra pavement from O'Neill) does add to the difficulty. First time I tried it from there I couldn't pull off the entire ride, BUT it was my first time up there (and I was flying solo), which does wear on you mentally.

I figure with some solid mid-week rides in addition to the weekend longer rides, we should be alright.

Have to make sure we haven't already made plans yet for that weekend....

EDIT: Probably should have checked first, but I just signed up for this bad boy...

Thanks for clearing up the Dino=Hucklehoff issue. I am still trying to figure out who is who and I was looking at Dino's pic thinking "I thought that was Hucklehoff."

That's the beauty of this deal, Agustin--there is no "back!" I'm in, but must warn you all: I used to throw a mean game of darts back in the day. Even hit the board once. And horseshoes? Oh, man. Keep your helmets on, fellas.
