I wasn't going to keep going with this, but since you ask...

It's a Shimano RS-10. Not exactly an uncommon wheel. So, I got the 5 spokes, put them aside; didn't want to do anything with wheel until after I rode the Grizzly Century. So I get back from the Griz, go to a different bike shop (where I originally purchased the bike and probably should have gone with from the get-go - I'll give them a shout out on their page), and it turns out the spokes I got on backorder were too short. Yes, too short! So I had this other bike shop go ahead and get the right ones, which they did in about 3 days and I had the wheel true, tight, and back on the bike.

Live and learn.

I am so sorry that we had that issue. If there is anything I can personally do to get you taken care of in the form of a return. Please don't hesitate to shoot me a personal email and I can get that taken care of. Do you still have the old spoke?

While I appreciate the offer, it's along the lines of "a day late and a dollar short." I was initially impressed with the chain when I bought the two bikes. I was disabused of that very quickly upon having to deal with service on but one of those bikes. As they say, you don't get a second chance at a first impression. I'm not impressed. I won't be returning to JAX, for either maintenance or purchase. C'est la vie, y no mas y no mas.

Chalk it up to a learning experience, hopefully for both sides. I know it was for me.

I am very sorry that we lost your business. Maybe I will see you on the trails or the roads. Be safe out there.
