jamis dakar sport

ive got a o4? jamis dakar sport.for sale. the chian stays have been replaced and everythings in good condition. may be willing to trade for a goood chain guide system for a d/h bike,or sell for 150.00$? its a 19in. or large frame ,seatpost too.headset, seat uh whatever else i can think of to thro in.

Do you have a pic you can post? What kind of rear shock is on it? Curious, did you crack the chain stays on it? I had an 03 Jamis Dakar with a P.O.S. FOX Vanilla coil shock on it and ended up cracking the chainstay on both sides. It took Performance nearly 3 weeks to get a new one from Jamis, and then they sent a black piece instead of yellow...awesome!

no pics as i dont think the camera ive got works anymore. it s an 04 w/a fox vanilla, and my son hopped up a curb one day and the chainstay broke.i asked mark at incycle to see what he could do,since we used ta be ajamis dealer. it was no prob., think it took about a week and a half. i think foothill cyclery deals jamis. oh ya got black chainstay too.ill try later w/ the camera its the x wifes and she doesnt take care of shht..

Cool, did it snap right at the thin-point of the sway arm? You know that area that is indented near the pivot? One day when cleaning my Jamis I noticed two cracks, one on each side. Maybe then sent black sway arms because they might hide the cracks better??!?! :lol:

if you had the chance to look at the old SWING ARM (chain stay) the new one has been beefed up in that area.being black you;ll see cracks better because the metal is silver. broke near the front pivot.the frame ive got is an o4 in good condition,when i aquired the bike it had hardly been used,then my boy used very little 'cause it wasnt a d/h rig.

ha ha!! Same thing happen to my old 03 or 02 reg Jamis!! Dannngg!! U would think they would fix that tiny little problem after the first year!!
I'm hoping the XLT will take more punishment then the old bIke![-o<
