It's been a while...STR group ride 1-30-2010!(postponed)

    ********This ride is postponed until a further date yet to be determined due to Whiting being closed - per the Rangers it is still too wet and will not be open on Sat.*********


    After the swap meet last weekend it got me thinking that all the old friends I saw and rode with that we should have a big group ride like STR used to!

    Saturday, Jan 30th at 10am at Whiting.
    Why Whiting? I have not been there in a bit, plenty of parking, plenty of grub spots for afterwards:beer:

    I'm not going to call this a newbie ride but the pace will be newbie friendly. If you want to race or show how fast you are, go to Fontucky on the 6th of Feb and do it there;)

    There may be "feats of strength and power" sections along the trail but this is a "cruising how ya doing" kind of ride so I aim to keep it that way.

    Gene or Craiger, can you set up a RSVP for me porfavor?

    See you on the 30th, if you dare:lol:!

    Art, thanks for the offer, I will keep you posted since I am sure I will need some leaders and sweepers.

    Whiting is a short loop but I am 100% sure we will all have fun. Last time we went there for a group ride it was a blast:bang:

    exactly, I think its time all us "old timers" turned some pedals together:beer:

    Do what ya like.
    If you want to grab some extra mileage I'm sure others will go.

    I personally prefer Whiting/STT/Old Camp/Luge/Whiting but this could be a big group and Whiting itself will enough. I'd like all levels, ages, styles, bikes whatever to come along...just like we used to:bang:!

    The 10 a.m. start allows plenty of time for a Whiting/Luge preride before the social-pace Whiting loop. That'll be my plan, if anyone's interested.
