Is a full face helmet necessairy for all-mountain?

    full face helmets are good for shuttles, im with lee on I just dont plan on crahsing. Learning how to crash can save you sometimes as well, tuck and roll

    Yup, learn to fall. I have become good at mid air, otb, or just landed squirly dismount to sprinting technique. In the countless times I have crashed, being able to bail quickly has saved me from serious injury... knock on wood.

    Definately. Especially since you stated that you are a new rider. And full face helmets now are really light. Somebody mentioned the Giro Remedy. I second that.
