Danny, how tall are you? I've ridden only medium Intense frames in the past, but the large SS fitted me just right w/ the 23 1/2" top tube.

I'm at the tall end of the range for mediums, and you're at the short end of the range for larges...I'm not sayin' you're short...I'm just sayin'...

I just picked up the new December issue of Mountain Bike action, the new Nomad is featured. Awesome, Perfect Huck machine. I might have to test ride one.

That sounds like a sick trail bike, and a ton of money, The new xt brakes are supposed to be awesome if you go that way

That is gonna be a nice build. I hope to have the opportunity to help you with it.

I would go with Shimano cranks even if it means XT becasue XTR is expensive.

I also would reconsider the rims. Those King hubs are going to deserve something nicer. The old 321 was a high quality dh rim that is pobably too heavy for this thing. The new 321 is a mid level all mountain rim that is not welded at the joint.

We have a medium black Tracer built up a lot like this on the floor. It rides and looks sick.

    Good choice young grasshopper!!!

I am running the Truvativ Stylo cranks (polished), Shimano 626 pedals and Hayes El Camino brakes (I seem to be the only one on the planet who likes these). ;)

For bars, go at least 27" wide and try 3/4' rise to start with and don't put too many spacers under the stem!!!!

Wow.. such good suggestions. I'm really glad I posted this on here. Thanks y'all. I was a little afraid some would think I was some fathead humming about the bling...

I meant to write "325"... I merged 325 with the 721's on my VP Free...doh! EDIT: I'm a total goon, cause I have 729 disc's on my VP Free, not 721's. Damn, Mavic and their goofy numbering system..

But, taking a closer look.. the 325's look pinned too. What do you think about the 521 disc? It's got the SUP weld, and can handle a reasonably fat tire (i like 'em big fat and juicy...)

    We should definitely talk!

How about some Crank Bros. wheels? Or I-Nines on Stans Flows rims?

And Formula Bianco's or The Ones brakes!

I am 5' 10" so a large is just too big for me. I am sure you can sell that thing quick cause it is a really popular bike right now. BTW I hope you were kidding about the road bike and what you meant to say was a DH bike.

I use Truv. Stylo 2.2 Black and HAYES EL CAMINO on my 6.6 and I like 'em too, so you're not alone!
Edit: I just don't know if I can run shimano XTR rotors 'coz this damn 8" hayes rotors warp's all the time on me!:?:

The Mavic EN 521 is a sweet rim. I built up a set on Hope hubs for my buddy's bike almot a year ago and they are still going strong.

Another rim to consider is the Stan's ZTR Flow rim. Light and wide and tubeless ready.

How come? If he gets Talas he can crank the fork down for climbs. Whats wrong with spacers?
