So i go to the top of this street called rainbird and off to the side there is a pit with some pretty gnarly jumps going into it. Now, i've only done these jumps a few times and never got as much air as i should have been getting. So I deside to drive to the top of the street and park my truck to the side of the pit, gear up, grab my bike, and start hucking. I get two semi comfortable jumps in and decide i need to push myself a little more. Well as soon as i left the jump i just had this feeling like "aw man, I am so screwed on this one..." i don't know how but I just knew. So as soon as my bike landed the tread on the tires washed out on the hardpack dirt and basically landed on my left side smacking my head on the dirt and sliding about seven feet stopping on a small desert bush (you know the kind with long skinny blades poking straight out and not branches or stems). Damage report: one face and mouthfull of dirt, one deeply scraped ankle, one bruized knee, one raspberry on left thigh, some scrapes on my left um... well... *cough*lovehandle*cough*, one bruized left elbow, one VERY BIG something-or-other on the left side of my forehead, one pair of chipped and tweaked glasses, and one VERY sore right shoulder. I have come to a conclusion, I AM POSESSED BY MY OWN ADRENALINE. What kind of idiot would go through something like that and wake up the next morning feeling worse and say; "gee, I think i'll go for a ride this morning!" THIS IDIOT RIGHT HERE! All i can say is that frankly, as it may not be a healthy habit, there are alot of other things i could be doing.:bang:

hahaha I've done that stuff before!! Glad to see you're back on a bike.

you are from Ramona? Wow, I used to drive through their all the time on the way to Barona Oaks... A friend from my racing days still lives there when he is in town.
Small world! I bet there are a bunch of places to ride out there!

Haha, that's great. On the bright side you hurt yourself just enough to figure out your limits and/or learn a lesson but not bad enough to seriously hurt you too bad.
