Day Seven:_Porcupine Rim:
Got a shuttle to today to the top of Upper Porc. I had never done Upper or Mid Porc, so it was new trail for me. Mostly downhill for about 22 miles. The two new sections were mostly singletrack along a cliff edge. There were a couple sections I walked cause they were too nasty to ride. About 7 miles from the end Larry crashed hard over the bars. Big scrapes and swelling the left side of his face and almost no use of his right arm. We had a long walk out after about 30 min of waiting for him to come out of shock. He rode some sections but not a lot. We were glad to get to the road. He did ride the last 7 miles of road back to the hotel. I took him to the hospital and no major damage (except he can't ride).

Our shuttle driver from Coyote Shuttle (she's better looking than Jessie)

Day Eight: We both just hung out at the hotel today and did some drives for food and drugs (not the good kind). Armin came by and we all went out for dinner.

Day nine: On the way to Fruita we(I) went to ride Fisher Mesa. It was going to be in the 90's again in Moab and this ride would get us out of the heat. It starts at about 7000ft and goes mostly downhill on singletrack for about 5 miles and then continues on a 4X4 road for about another 5 miles to views of the Colorado river. It was actually cold at the start and I rode with arm warmers most of the day. Larry was not riding so it would be a solo ride for me. I didn't want to keep Larry waiting too long so I did an out and back on the singletrack and skipped the last section. Total ride time was only about 2 hours.

It wouldn't be Moab without a little tech stuff...

Nunya:Definetly Porc rim. My buddy Larry (in the picture) crashed that day and didn't ride with me in Fruita.
