Hey guys. I graduated back in June with a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in design of mechanical systems and a minor in Material Science. I accepted a position at small consulting company in the construction industry right after graduation but have come to a realization that it is not what I want a future in. I realize the importance of getting into the right career path so I am actively looking for another position. I was active in several hands-on projects as well as a racecar engineering team in college and have experience in basic machining and designing in SolidWorks/AutoCAD. I also interned as a manufacturing engineer at an aerospace company for over a year following lean and six sigma principles. I would appreciate any help or interest. I am in the OC and my resume can be in your or anyone else's email in a matter of seconds...Thank you for looking!

I'm looking for a job also, preferably one that makes use of literary skills. I've no college degree and I didn't enroll in college this semester, since I wanted to take time off to see about following this new path. I'm starting to take writing more seriously and passionately and want an opportunity for hands-on experience in a professional setting before I feel motivated enough to shoot higher as a technical editor. I've gone as far as contacting James Huang of BikeRadar/Cycling News about mentorship. I come from a family that is into photography, which I also feel is in my blood, and have urges to start on such projects, but lacked motivation due to lack of reward, so a complete entry level photojournalism position is likely what I'm looking for.

I also have experience in computer science (some college towards this major), notably basic coding experience in lua & C++. I have office software creative experience, creating linked excel spreadsheets and powerpoint slides to show updated statistics to supervisors/managers, and limited video editing experience, but would like to have more of outdoorsy or on-site journalistic role, rather than being a code monkey. I like history and feel that there needs to be someone to record it all, and organizing it in a way that can be easily reviewed to be more effective and efficient in the future. Perhaps someone to create a business yearbook, one can be shared with both employees and loyal customers to improve pride in one's choice in business. I also worked as a F-15 Crew Chief, so I am familiar with mechanical systems and maintenance work, and also have two years of doing inventory accounting and deploying work with the military, handling packing, forklifting (operating forklift up to 15 tons), shipping by truck (experience driving large trucks coast to coast), handling bills of lading with contractors, and unpacking and operating a mobile support base. I also had a license to operate 45 passenger buses, though I have experience limited to shuttling to and from hotels to base. I do well both independently and in a team and always strive to learn more and understand things better to improve work efficiency and effectiveness. Such skills wouldn't be too out of place operating a race support or demo truck, so I am open to other positions, including customer service, though I prefer to be more human-like in representation of the company, rather than the type that does canned responses repeatedly. I am a thinker and like to take on fresh ideas, with preference to focus on pushing ideas that are easily "digestible" by current standards and also venturing with simple ideas that can shake the status quo.

I'm currently located in Perris, have my own reliable running car, and have my finances and personal health in good order, with no debt nor disability nor other medical disorder. I mainly wish to use my time and skills for a more fulfilling purpose. That and it's getting to be a bit lonely with all this free time I have, with friends doing their own thing. I've visited to Intense and Felt HQ, due to my brief acquaintance with Scott Sharples, am friendly with JensonUSA Riverside, and have a high reputation on mtbr, so I have at least stepped into and am not too much of a stranger to the bike industry. I also have trail building and maintenance experience and support trail advocacy, believing that we need more quality places to ride to encourage more growth in our sport.

Anyone here or know of anyone that is a good VMWare/infrastructure guy looking for a job in LA area/studio city?

This posting is only going to be live for 7 days.

Property Management (Commercial Office) Receptionist position in Huntington Beach. Great foot in the door for someone looking to get into the industry. Plus you get to work with me. ;) Small office that handles the management of three buildings (one 12 story, two six story totalling 375,000sf). PM me for more details...spread the word if you know anyone who is looking!

Electrical engineer, preferably with aerospace experience wanted. Or non engineer with aerospace experience. Pm me

I am looking to hire a junior to mid-level accountant to join a small accounting team at Scaled Composites in Mojave (yes Mojave).
A degree is not required but I will base my decision upon a combination of experience with Accounts Payable, account reconciliation, report and query writing (Cognos or Crystal reports), analytical skills, communication skills and most importantly, the successful candidate will possess a strong desire to learn and have a positive attitude.

This job is not posted yet but I expect to get the posting on-line late next week. You can look at the company site for an overview of what we do at http://scaled.com Also there are posted opportunities for various engineering disciplines, composite fabricators, aircraft mechanics/electricians, etc.

If you like to ride, Scaled has a strong group of mtb and road riders. Daily lunch-time and after work rides around the airport and in nearby Tehachapi. The big plus: your boss (me) understands your need to put knobbies to dirt. We have a super strong mtb community in the Antelope Valley and Tehachapi, enjoying miles and miles of very good uncrowded trails.

PM me if interested. You may also submit your resume on the website in advance of the posting if you wish.

My employer is hiring multiple positions in the petro-chem engineering field. We have several positions available from CAD designers up to Project and Construction management. We have multiple departments such as Electrical and Controls, Mechanical, Civil/ structural and Pipeline. The office is in Fountain Valley right around the corner from Fry's. I just wanted to post real quick while it's on my mind but I will come back with specifics later.
