Ok. So I've been riding for 20+ years and have taken tires on and off wheels hundreds of times. But now I'm stumped.

I've got a set of Easton Haven's and a WTB Wolverine Tubeless tire. It was tough, but I got one side of the bead to release. Now I'm trying to get the the side bead to release from rim, and it won't release. I can't fit a tire iron in between, and I've tried shoving a flat head screwdriver in there. I just tore the tire is all.

    Any ideas? Help!

It might be suctioned on. It was set up tubeless. I got one side of the tire to break loose and off the rim. The other side won't release though. It's strange.

Are you serious? A torch? I don't think that's the answer...

Here's a pic. The bead won't break loose on one side.

have you tried using two tire levers to push down on the bead to break the set?

fill the inside of the rim with brake clean and light it on fire. Should break it loose without damage to the rim. Its kinda like seating a bead on the trail when 4x4 driving.

prop it on it's side so one end is on the floor and the other a about a foot of the ground, push down on the tire at the bead, hands at 1 and 11, tire will just pop. mine does exatly the same.

Sorry, I thought my comment of "torch" was so far out there it would be obvious I was joking. After reading it again I can see where some might think I was serious. Good luck

I have strangely heard of ppl using glues to get the beads to seal up. I bet you, once you get a portion to release, the rest will be easy.

The new WeirWolf is notorious for being a very tight fitting tire......especially on non-WTB rims.

    Ooops.....yours is a Wolverine. #-o Nevermind.

I have heard prying with screwdrivers against the bead/rim is good for tubeless setups...

Hey Timmaaaay! How's life up in Sacto? Using C-4 isn't far off. We used to use it to heat up our c-rations in the bush, overseas. Ball up a small chunk, drop into your c-ration stove,( an empty can, slightly crushed at the top with holes punched on the bottom), light off with a match. Took about 30 seconds or so to heat up. Then you can kick back and enjoy your favorite can of ham and mutha fu.... uhh, ham and lima beans (yeccchhh #-o)! -Lloyd

7pt, using a screwdriver on an aluminum rim is not advisable. -Lloyd

Heck yea, this worked for me too... Thanks!! I propped it up on a one of those foam rollers just on the very edge of the rim so as not to damage anything. I tried like hell before using this method and it wouldn't budge.
