Ive always been interested in it. I need to get photoshop so i can start learning some stuff like that. I heard its not hard once you get the basics down and have a camera that you can change the settings on. Makes me want to get on it if there's gonna be all kinds of fresh advice floating around here.

I’ve played around with HDR, with this image I made three copy’s, one is lightened, darkened and the third is the correct exposure, processed in Photomatix

doesn't look much like an HDR to me either (not as much definition across the board, especially in the shadows. still a sweet shot though.

I've toyed with HDR before too, but i'm kinda meh about it. just make sure you don't go overboard and make it look like unicorn vomit. Doesn't look like it should be a problem though.

Sick pic! did you just take raw shots and adjust exposure afterwards in post? never thought of doing that...

I've always wanted to get into this. I just don't know if I have the eye to capture great things like that. I'd probably end up photographing everything in sight, but I guess you gotta start somewhere right?

I think if I were doing an hdr for that scene, I would have exposed for the shore as well just to see how that would turn out. Regardless, that's a nice picture you have. :)

My friend Ray does a bit of photography. Don't know much about it but he did one of my car and one of his and I thought they came out alright. Pics attached.
