I think there is still a couple of slots open for the March 19th class if you are interested.

I think the class is full now or there may be 1 slot left for March 19th. I know as of now there are 6 people signed up for March 19th and I think Joe said he would cap at 6.

I just heard back from Julius Syvanen. I'm tentatively scheduling a clinic with him on 2/20.

I just heard back from him too. I was thinking of taking the class after I take Joe's.

Anyone have any input on who might be better to take first etc. Or should I stick with one instructor so I don't get confused with conflicting techniques, etc? Thanks!

i haven't taken any classes, but from experiences of taking other types of classes it's nice to learn from multiple sources and apply what works for you. one may teach you an easier way of doing things.

Countless hours of watching NWD videos in slow motion. I'm predominantly a descender. Riding a hard tail on dh trails and stunts helped me compensate for no suspension, so once I was dialed in I was on target. I owe my DH style to my brother, to Simonmtb, and Straybullet. With fear of being punched out if I did not jump made me more of a riskier rider.

I have taken Joes and a DH oriented class with Julius. I am not sure how Julius's AM type courses are. Joe's normal clinic is a very good base class teaching you skills you could use on most trails. For Julius we focused mostly on cornering and a little on rollers/drops.

Great! Thanks for the information. Drops, Jumps and Cornering were kinda my main focuses. Julius had mentioned that he offered a clinic that targeted those areas. I think I will take Joe's class first and then Julius's DH oriented class.

Hey Nancy (denmo) I think we need a link to Julius again and get an STR DH class schedule going...

FYI guys, Joe is more than capable of teaching AM classes (and DH too), he has amazing skills!

Yeah that that would be awesome. I mentioned it to Julius in my last email to him this morning.

I've taken 2 DH and 1 DJ clinic with Julius, he is an amazing rider and excellent teacher. My suggestion is to find a few friends who are at the same riding level that you are and then contact him to set a time and date. I believe he only does 4 people max at one time.

I have 2 people including myself signed up with Julius on 2/20 for an XC/AM class. Room for 1 or 2 more I think.
