Hairspray?

I was at Sportschalet today and I noticed that the bike mechanic had a can of Aquanet hairspray next to his tools. What in the world would hairspray be used for when it comes to bikes?

I've used it when removing grips, and installing grips too. When installing you can spray the inside of the grips, it lubricates it pretty good, makes it easier to slide them on the bars, then, when it dries its sticky.

I have been using the Lizard Skins lock-on grips for about a year now and will never look back.

For sure, lock ons are the way to go  8) Makes it so much easier when you need to remove the grips to change a shifter/brake lever or handlebar......not to mention they just work great and don't move!

The glamorous life of a bike mechanic is non stop. Ya gotta have great hair if your gonna wrench on bikes. Soccer moms, aggro Dh girls, and roadies all love a bike wrench with fabulous hair! They are the Fabios of the cycling world... "I can't believe it's not judy buttah!"

Lock on's are the way to go. I use the Lizard Skins "North Shore" model. I'll never use traditional grips again. But at least my hair looks fabulous!

Yep, for the grips and Aquanet is pure lacquer, so one of the best to use.

most of use dudes don't have chick products ,try useing cologe it does the same job ...it'll make your bike and place smell good

ODI Lock ons are dope! Not to mention, they dont move at all and I could not imagine not using them ever (though on one bike the bar is actually a little small for them to get a good clamp....but other than that, never).

The combination of ODI Lock grips, with Dangerboy bar end slugs with matching color inside grip lock-on clamp......friggin total chick magnet yo' ....and throw in some matching color Dangerboy levers, fuhgetaboudit, biatch!

that was my off of my Phil Wood single speed I sold a few months back......however, the cockpit pictured is being moved over to my new ventana ready in a couple of weeks....

i have so much down time between riding that i cant help but think about how to pimp the rides.....only non-pimped bike I have is the one I rode Sunday with the STR dawgs...

hey ive used wd40 for grips ferever . dont use too much and there ready to go 1/2 hour . professionally speaking of course.but then you should have known.
