If you are considering a new bike :-k , consider this one :) . It's a winner at the price!!! Here's the specs & some pictures. The only things that are not stock are the Tioga Blue Dragon Tires, Crank Bros pedels & the bar ends.

Sweet rig. Congrats. Any ride comments or still waiting for maiden voyage?

Nice to see a new bike built up thats not a Turner.

What color is the frame in some pics it looks, black, then kinda dark purple, the brownish. Whatever it is it's a sweet color.

Looks good!

I rode a Giant Faith, up in Tahoe, it was really nice. Really plush, yet pedals well. I'd imagine that this bike will be really similar. Take it out and get some dirt on it.

It's a cameleon bike!! No it's coffee colour according to the spec, but it looks a little como, which is a cool macho dude bike colour!!

Giant pick their spec really well & I'm stoked. Taking it out for the maiden voyage later this week or this weekend.

New ride

Congrat's on the new ride. It looks solid. Are you sure it's VPP? I thought Giant was using the DW link rear suspension.

I'd be interested to hear your opinion the Tioga tires and of course a ride report.

C

You're right it's the DW link. I was thinking of getting the SC Nomad, but this was sooooooooo much cheaper!! The linkage is pretty similar to the VPP as Santa Cruz designed the DW for Giant. Well that's what I heard...

That bike looks nice! With the set-up so low like that it seems like the ceenter of gravity on it is really low making it feel very nimble on the crazy stuff.

Now theres a bike !
True see one Turner ,seen them all.

I thought Giant was calling their suspension design "Maestro". Is that the same as the previously mentioned "DW link"? Excuse my ignorance:?:

I'm not bashing the bike, and I really like it. I was considering one of these before I decided to stay with Turner, but when we measured the rear travel we only could get 4.5 inches, maximum. I'm not sure if we were doing it right though. I did get the opportunity to ride one briefly on the trails and was quite impressed. Handles like a xc bike more then an all mountain type. Climbs very well, and descends like a screaming demon. Probably the best deal going for the money.
