    Don't.

We got a pretty good amount of rain up here yesterday. It's still pretty cool, so it's not drying up all that quick. Give it at least until tomorrow.

    I wouldn't bother...

The railroad tracks are going to be under water!
I suspect there will be quite a few soft spots along other parts of the trail as well!

    Rode the Fully Loop tonight.

Over all, it is in good shape. It's damper and softer than usual which is to be expected, but there aren't any patches that are too muddy to ride. The railroad tracks are in good shape. The big puddle of water looks virtually the same as it was before the rain storm.

yeh i went yesterday morning. wasnt bad at all. soft for sure. hills were a lot harder on the SS :p anything too soft could be avoided. i saw several fresh tracks before me. should be better today. get out before the rain comes again.

The loop up around Rosecrans holds up well. The main trail gets very soft and should be avoided.
Its sad that we live in southern California and we have over 325 days of excelent riding that we need to worry about riding after the rain before the trails fully dry out.

    Fully Loop (merged threads)

So I've been reading all the reviews for rides that took place this weekend. Looks like STT and Sycamore Canyon are the only places I saw that were okay to ride. Does anyone have info on the Fully Loop and the trail conditions there? It's one of my favorite after work training rides and i'm eager to get back on my bike. Any info on this will be greatly appreciated.

Fullerton Loop isn't a state park or a national park so it is open even during the rain although I would advise people not to ride.

If the trail is dry, which i'm sure it is in most places, it's ok to ride. The loop is pretty wide in most places so even if there is still water I'm sure you can find a line that can avoid it.

Hiltscher Park stay on the main trail, single track on left after Richman Knoll is closed due to trees down and work being done today. Also is really wet.
Ride Thursday will be ok , today will be wet in the usual train track ,tunnel, and behind the dam spots.
There is still alot of puddles on main trails so find the driest line.
Devoid with your mad skills youll be fine. Ride light on the tires so not to make any marks. bye

Rode there yesterday morning before the rains, the single track was closed, the train track was very muddy, after the tunnel was not that bad. At the tunnels you want to use the first tunnel, the second one had a drainage pipe across the tunnel. See you tomorrow night.

Stay clear of the rain rut that runs down the center of the trail as you come down mormon hill. It's also pretty chewed up as you leave the golf coarse trail right before the tunnels (broken concrete and potholes).

Sticky and slow on Sunday A.M. and P.M. Gates at Laguna lake were closed. Bypassed through the neighborhood. I skipped the train tracks because it was so flooded. Single track in Hiltscher is beat up pretty good. I tried to climb that mo fo hill along the east side of Brea dam property that heads over to Brea Blvd/Elks lodge.......and it was too slippery still. This weekend......................:)

    Loop Condition

The single track is now open in Hiltscher Park. Top of the World has been graded with a loader, will do more in March. Fence line after that to Euclid is still sandy and has ruts. Train tracks muddy as usual. Before tunnels a few holes, and use first tunnel , other tunnel has caution tape.
Log bridge is out along creek, caution tape at beginning of this area.

Wont be making it tonite , Be safe have fun.
