Food stamps

I know this probably isnt the site to ask on but has anyone ever needed to apply for food stamps???

I have to and have no idea where to start.. Also what items do they not let you buy???

Have you tried searching Google. Many will not admit to being on food stamps. I know I would clean glory holes before I applied. But there again jump in line it seems to be the American thing to do these days.


Casinos and drug dealers are quick to take your food stamps.

I did but im not sure which site to apply on... there are so many different things, like SNAP, CalFresh, EBT, etc so I dont know which is which...

I cant find a job and im out of money so I need something to survive.... And YES I looked everywhere!

 

40 million Americans are currently receiving food stamps......you can apply here....I don't know about eligibility requirements (i.e. US citinzenship, etc):

My agency helps out with this kind of stuff. I'll pm you the info.
Items not avail. include alcohol, cleaning materials, tp/paper towels and tobacco. Basically anything inedible is off limits with cal-fresh.

 

I heard toilet paper isnt covered??? Isnt that like a basic need??? Like toothpaste??

What kind of marketable skills do you have?

 

Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, which we help supply when we can, has an excellent food pantry for needy people in the area. Also, legal and medical service as far as I know.

 

I live in Redondo Beach... So anything towards the Southbay or Long Beach would be better for me. Less driving

Thanks.. Unfortunately its a reality I cant hide... I've applied everywhere I remotely can do the job from grocery stores to IT positions and unfortunately and either I don't get a call back at all or they find someone else better.

I know EBT does not cover dog food. When my wife was a grocery store cashier there was a customer who regularly filled his cart with steaks for his dogs because they were covered by EBT.:lol:

I was recently accused of being a dick so I am just trying to live up to perception. In all seriousness, good luck to you. Most people are too proud to recognize when they need help, and too stubborn to ask for it.

i helped people process this stuff when i worked at a bank. boss, didnt like it, but i did it anyway.

if you qualify for food stamps, ebt, youll qualify for a whole set of other cali benefits.

nothing wrong with food stamps to help folks. cheaters, and those who allow people to cheat to buy their votes, i have a problem with. a dentist once told me, a client of mine, he was getting food stamps. it disgusted me.

cheating on social aid should come with a prison sentence. 3 years min.
