Fontana Winter Series Race #3

if you don't do anything but train for the wall, you will improve amazingly. I made up 11 seconds on a guy over the wall. that's HUGE, with just having the ability to mash 90% of it. it's what separates the people who know how to ride and the people who know how to race. granted, I hate it's existence too, but we can't do anything about it. might as well accept the fact that it makes or breaks most every close run.

hey guys.
friday is still open for free practice right? saturday is the day we have to pay how much??

 

I think its $5 for the shuttle on saturday

 

$5 is you register to race $7 if you are just practicing.

 

$8 if you don't register to race. And FYI, the fee and the signing of the waiver is necessary for insurance purposes and is required whether you ride the shuttle or not (hence the wristband).

Here's the announcement from the Southridge web site:

Attention ALL Down Hill Racers!!!​

No one will be allowed on the hill to practice without a wrist band. This goes for walking your bike or if you drive to the gate and walk up. Regardless on race days everyone must have a wrist band. ​

just throwing it out there, at round one on the saturday, i asked for a practice wristband, and i hadent registered, and they only charger me $5

Any time besides race weekend(sat and sun) its free for all, you just have to hike a bike it.

 

or know someone with a gate key :wave:

 

I lost 2nd by 40 seconds to a guy that used to beat me bad after racing for an hour fourty five. You better believe I'll be there again. XC for me.

the last race of the series, so everyone has the whole spring and summer to forget about my performace before we come back in november

 

that yeti is lookin good jeff. If you get it finished on time, I wouldn't mind partaking in the super-awesome geometry of course I'll letcha ride the mob too

edit: BTW, how do the classes break down for 4X? same age groups as DH? or wider? or none?
