Ride Report Fontana Winter Series #5

To all the photographers- Sweet photos and job!

Thanks!
You and your brother take amazing shots did you post a link I missed it? I'm still working on Saturday but will post shots when done and put all the photo links on one post? My friends were stoked with the hookup you gave them to put their bikes on like the one you have. Nice!!

hey slick did you get a picture of me? I'm 176D. If it's not from the front I'm in all blue TLD on a black bike. Thanks a lot

321p? Dino? Should have been easy to get a picture of me, spent plenty of time on the course. EFoltz got a few.

All I have is this picture of you resting/sitting on your bike...
Was it your first ride on the new bike?

Note to racers: Include your race numbers on Fontana RSVP!

Question - Slight Thread Hijack

Everyone posts what pictures(plate #) they are looking for. I have shots of almost everyone but I feel dumb posting links and shots from my site for every rider when I know they are mostly asking the photogs that dont have web sites.

My question is should I post up pictures for everyone who posts they plate number and says they are looking for shots of them? Or do enough people know about my site to go there and find themselves?

I feel bad posting pictures and wasting space on the thread if people are already going to my site and looking at their shots.

Sorry for the Hijack...

Southridge =Family

Looking for any photos of 429E.
Congratulations on first Ryan you smoked that section NICE!! Most RR are done so ask away. Want to mention how great it's been getting to be friends with many of the racers over the years like (YJGFikL)Nibal, Cousi and all their friends and to see them grow up from these scrawny lil goofballs to really strong riders and more so progress in their personal lives into adults getting their cars soon to attend college. Several of us have attended these races for some time myself just since 2006 but this place really is like being with family to us. Thanks to Donny creating SR and CONGRATS to everyone out there.

A little late to the party but ...

I showed up Saturday at my usual 06:30hrs and the usual crew were no were to be found. Armored up, registered and then headed up the hill solo. Got 2 runs in down to the road and sessioned that F'up left at the saddle a few times. Met up with Bryan and did some more practice.

A bit later I went up and got a bit more practice in with Desmond (live_in_hilo) and then called it a day. I was outta there by 10:00hrs. Felt alright about the course and knew I would get another run or two in on Sunday.

Sunday morning I put in another two practice runs (maybe three, I forget:-k) and felt pretty good about the course and was actually keeping my feet on the pedals in ALL the turns and pedaling out.

Race time comes, I head out of the gate, hit the first top section fairly smooth and then come around that rutted left into that small rock section just before the saddle and I believe a dirt troll must have grabbed my front tire and tossed it across the course because I found my self on a line I did not intend to be on AND planting my foot on top the bolder to the left to stay up. After what seemed like forever I got my feet back on the pedals and off I went. Hit the shoot a bit slower then I wanted but from there on everything went smooth again, across the road, through the lower garden and on to the finish.

I placed 6th, 2sec outta 5th, and knocked my time outta first place from a usual 20sec deficit to a 10second deficit. The goal for the next race is to knock another 10 seconds off my time and I should be good to go. ;)

And Sharky, the new lens is sweet.

1) I think most people already know how to find your pictures!!!!
2) This thread has been viewed nearly 4,000 times! If only a few people are asking for pics, I would suspect the majority of people have been to your site.
I know I have--- I don't even race!
3) If someone asks if you have a shot- feel free to post it! Feel free to send the link to the "page" it can be found on! Feel free to PM them! It's up to you!
4) If you want to post a few of your favorite pics (from each event)- that would be cool too! You probably have some cool pics that go unnoticed by most people!
5) Your name says it all. If I were reading a race thread and some guy named bluefirepictures posts something, you had better believe I am going to click the link to his site!

I think I want to move up at the Challenge in Nov, but not sure yet. Just ride more.
