Favorite Places to Eat(merged)

1. Baby Blues BBQ in Venice
2. 444 Lincoin Blvd, Venice, Ca 90291. #310.396.7675
3. BBQ food.
4. RIBS RIBS RIBS! Their sides are to die for as well. Can't go wrong with almost anything on their menu.

On Tustin Ave in Orange is a vegan place called 'The Loving Hut'. ( I know - vegan, WTH! #-o).
Primarily Viet with some other dishes mixed in. I had Fabulous Mongolian last time-awesome!
Meat is fine with me, but this place is just so great. So good, even carnivores won't care that it's meatless.
Try the rose lemonade. Secret Spot is great too.

If ever you get stuck in the La Jolla end of San Diego, find the tiny Los Dos Pedro's on Turqoise (NOT the one on LJ blvd) on what looks like a disused corner across from an abandoned used car lot.

They make a lot of perfectly good texmex that keeps the locals & famished surfers lining up out the door the last 30 years, but ahem, let me just gringo it up here for a sec... Their breakfast burrito is 100% the finest burrito of any kind I've ever had anywhere I've ever lived, and one of the most enjoyable things I've ever eaten period. Day or night, with their own salsas, it's perfect. Not too big, not too small, steams with moisture when you bite into it but not greasy whatsoever, everything fresh and finely chopped and perfectly mixed. It's the perfect burrito. The list of things I miss about La Jolla while I'm gone is short, and that burrito takes the top spot. ...three spots.

Runners up are a bunch of fancypants Italian gastronomy places in Italy, Chicago, & St Louis.

And my hometown favorite, The Morrison Inn. They make the best Maggies in Colorado, & as big as yer head. + directly across from the bike shop and trails around Red Rocks.

To or from your Big Bear Trip
Rocky's Roadhouse (Great Sandwiches)
Running Springs right on the 18/330
Best Pastrami but all good

got introduced to this little gem a few weeks ago. food was delish, cheap, and quickly prepared.

Gen KBBQ as said before is amazing.

Seems like everyone goes to Schatt's in Bishop, but I always drive right on by and head to Meadow Farms Smokehouse/Mahogany Smoked Meats.

They smoke and sell a lot of different meats, but they also have a sandwich counter inside and load them up with the delicious smoked meats.
I highly recommend their sandwiches.

A local gem is the Twisted Sage Cafe in San Dimas, CA.
The have a great chef with gourmet-versions of your favorite dishes at reasonable prices.
Love their bacon-filled waffle for breakfast!

+100 on Schatts sheep herder bread. It truly is the best.

In Bishop, skip all the Main St BS and just head to the Burger Barn. Right in front of a trailer park...

Locally:

Cortinas in Orange and Anaheim (Anaheim is closed due to recent fire but should be back soon). Killer sandwiches.
Blake's BBQ in Anaheim
Fa-Sai Thai in Anaheim
Tony's Deli in Anaheim
Taco Adobe in Orange (hole in the wall)
Gabbi's Mexican in Orange Circle ($$ but nice and good food)
Orange Cafe for a little mom and pop diner.
Old Town Diner in the Circle, good burgers
Zitos, great pizza, couple locations in Orange.

If you ride Oaks, Taco Mesa is in Orange on the way back to the 55 on Chapman.

Peking Gourmet Chinese Restaurant in Garden Grove, near the south east corner of Magnolia and GG Blvd.

Been a patron there since 1983.

Forever favorites (order the food as written -->): Sam Sun Chia Jiang Myun, Sam Sun Champong, Yaki Mandoo, Kan Pong Shrimp, Mangolian Beef

Japanese!!

Kimmie' and Early Bird Cafe in Fullerton for breakfast.

Cafe 7th Home near BP bikes, quiet ralaxing place to eat + good food.

Parked at Snow Summit on Saturday even though we were going for an XC ride. After our ride we thought we'd grab a burger and beer at the grill at Summit (on the patio at the bottom of the hill). The burger was...okay, but over-priced - on the plus side, PBR drafts were $3. After ordering, I started to wish we had gone somewhere else. That got me thinking about this thread. La Montana on Big Bear Blvd was good (good tacos and good margs), they have outside seating, too. I personally enjoy Paoli's in downtown Big Bear, but the service has been lacking the last couple of times we ate there. El Burrito on Colton Ave in Redlands is a good one - great food w/outdoor seating only.

I love G-Burger! I live in La Habra, expensive but well worth it, juicy burgers!

Just recently tried Mrs Bea’s Louisiana Chicken and Waffles in La Habra , so good! I love their mac n cheese, different waffles are good and chicken is delicious!
1299 S Harbor Blvd
La Habra, CA 90631

Just had awesome BBQ at the Mill Creek Cattle Co. in Mentone. Great place to refuel after a SART ride.

Anyone try Cilantro's Tacos on Whittier Blvd? Border line Whittier/ La Habra, Good food also! I'm just hungry right now, wish I could have some sopes!
16533 Whittier Blvd
Whittier, CA 90603

El Toro Bravo
$ Costa Mesa
Get the carnitas tacos and smother them with the hot sauce. For $6-7, you get two tacos (with a pound of meat from the looks), rice, beans, and a drink. Yummy yummy yummy.

Solid call dacaboose.

My fav pig out lunch hole in the wall, practically weekly. Buy it to go, there's no place to sit, only enough standing tables for about 5-6 total. They opened up a satellite in Tustin, avoid that location at all cost. They don't cook anything there, it's all from CM.

2 tacos is really 4, they double up on the tortillas. Every kind of meat, occasionally they have cabaza and deep fried pork belly (think 1" cubes of bacon).
The only thing missing is al pastor.

There's a few new places in Yucaipa that are worth trying - and they donated to the Crafton Hills Conservancy for some recent give-aways at a trail maintenance day: Tam's, Angus McGurdy's, Jake's, and Jose's (not new, but generous and good w/ a bar to boot)

if you happen to be in /near Corona you should try Silver Dollar Pancake House
