...ordered my 2.35 Minion and HighRoller last night from Price Point and Jenson respectively...got 'em this afternoon...KICK A$$!!!!!

The HighRoller is a bitchin tire. I've been using the UST 2.35 the past month. I like it better than the BlueGroove on the front.

Its a pretty damn slow tire though, I'm going to try and find a faster front tire for XC rides.

Anyone use the WTB WeirWolf as a front tire?

Yes, but as everyone knows I don't go fast. The 2.5 is a great tire...very good on the sandy/pumice stuff in Mammoth.

Matt, I have a 2.55 LT (freeride) Weirwolf I use in Sedona and a 2.5 Weirwolf Race if you want to borrow to check them out.

Also a Sunday ride is starting to form...Mt. Pinos/McGill Trail...I hope to comes together...a must do ride.

The 2.5 Weirwolf was my tire of choice before I discovered the Kendas. It's a very light tire for its size, however the sidewalls are pretty thin. They do roll better than the Blue Groove though, although the grip isn't quite as good.

I took advantage of the deal at Wheel world and bought 2 Maxxis Mobsters 2.35's. Heavy tire but one of the best grippers I've ever rode.

14.00 a tire, to good to pass up.

currently rolling a 2.35 minion in front and high roller 2.35 on the rear. very satisfied with performance. but, i've yet to roll the blue groove in the front. therefore, it will be my next front tire.

I really dont want to go bigger than a 2.35 tire. Thanks for the offer though. For Mammoth, Im going to run a 2.35 HighRoller(front) and 2.1 Nevegal(rear). I think this combo will be perfect up there.

I ordered a 2.1 UST WeirWolf at RocknRock the other day.

Great combo! I know a lot of dh racers that run the same set up. I ran Minions last year and switched to Kenda's this season (bg front/nev rear). Happy with the Kenda's performance so far.

I loved the Weirwolf as a front until I was shown the way of the high roller.

I still use the WTB on loose off camber trails though.

I'm runnin' 2.35 Maxxis rubber all around. Have a Minion up front that I am diggin' and a High Roller in the back. I do like the set up alot. I used to run a Kenda BG up front until i peeled back about 1/2 of the knobs on the right side leaning hard into a rocky turn. Thank goodness for Stans!!! Many of us have been ripping the sidewalls or tearing knobs off of the Kendas over the past few months...I'm going to stick with Maxxis.

I've used the WeirWolf 2.3 on the front for a while now and It works perfect!! that tier can hook a brotta up w/some speed!! Love the mofo!! I heard the new 06 version suppose to be faster and stronger on the sidewalls!! I may buy one for the rear too just to test the waters!!

yeah, the thin sidewall is what turned me off of it as a back tire, just felt squirrelly.

This has nothing to do with Kenda's. The sidewalls on non-ust are not meant to run w/o tubes. UST tires are the way to go especially for bigger guys. UST tires do not even need sealant.

Kippie - UST tires are heavier and need sealant just as much as a tubed tire for flat protection. I'm not sure about possible mounting problems on non-UST rims.

i'm rolling on a 16 months on 823s on my dh rig without 1 flat......no sealant

bring on the b!tch slap of fate

I have one of the new 2.55 LT Weirwolfs with Inner-peace sidewalls...borrow it if you want. I had that tire on the front when we did the Plunge...not bad but for that trail regular 2.5 WW is better. The new WW LT knobs are way different and much smaller than the race version, they removed the weigh from the knobs and used it on the side walls...it is going to be my slickrock sand tire when I go to Sedona.

My favorite narrow tire was the cheap $14.00 at Performance 2.25 IRC Trailbear...nail proof. The 2.5 Trailbear is my newest tire to try on the front used it on the back for a couple of years....the toughest tire I have ever used.
