I have an HTC Nexus one...getting ready to upgrade to the galaxy nexus soon. I run my tracks, cardiotrainer, and play music simultaneously and it works great. Only thing is it sucks the life out of my battery fairly quick.
Yeah - what carrier did you get it for? Perhaps are you referring to the Galaxy S II or the Galaxy Nexus? The Galaxy Note is a whole other animal.
I'm going to wait until after the holidays and score me a new Mot. RAZR. 4G, LTE, dual-core with 1.2 GHZ. processors, tons of internal memory, expandable to 32 GB via micro-SD card, rear and front facing cam, laser-cut KEVLAR fiber material and scratch-resistant gorilla glass makes this smart phone at the top of my list. Currently shipping with 2.35 (Gingerbread) but by Feb., it should be equipped with Ice Cream Sandwich.
It is a nice phone. ignore the "gorilla glass" moniker. All modern cell phones use this these days. the process of hard plating the glass for protection is not patented and Gorilla Glass was just the first to start getting noticed for it back in the day. There isnt much to distinguish the RAZR from the Galaxy S2, spec-wise, so make sure you try them both out. If the RAZR is more expensive, make sure you know you're paying for the phone's look vs. the specs. Same is true if the Galaxy S2 is more mula. Personally, I am not a fan of what Motorola does to "customize" the android OS. The "moto-blur" UI layer. Samsung's "Touchwiz UI" however is very intuitive, and is actually the only one that professional reviewers say adds to the experience, rather than gets in the way. If you havent tried it, imagine it being right in between Android and iPhone OS.
are you sure ALL phones use gorilla glass or something comparable? I don't think they do. And BTW you don't need a screen protector with gorilla glass.
I'm probably gonna switch from t-mobile to verizon....and it's gonna be between the Rezound and the Galaxy nexus....I'm leaning towards the nexus cause the nexus line is always stock vanilla android, no bloatware... and it's the first to receive updates. Here's a comparison of Verizon's big 3 coming soon....http://phandroid.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/vzw-big3.jpg Also here's a droptest of the Samsung GS2 Vs Iphone 4S for you gorilla glass fans http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elKxgsrJFhw
No bloatware on the Nexus, did you say? Think again: http://pocketnow.com/android/verizon-bloatware-found-on-the-galaxy-nexus It's as pure of an experience as Verizon will allow. Nothing a rooting won't solve though and this goes for any Android based phone.
