Downhill Did a quick Downhill Run today..

OK, keep me posted on that. I'll do my best to leave both days open so I can at least ride with you or Absrakt, if not both.

 

that first drop is a bit more than 2 feet. my money is on 4 for the first part, plus however far down the slope you fly.

and yeah, the trek could handle it, but no use unnecessarily blowing up my XC bike when I've got a perfectly good DH bike to blow up

also, I could probably do sunday. we'll see. lots of shuttle trucks pretty much rock though.

Got in 2 quick runs today. Rain wasn't very kind to the trail. There are huge tire swallowing ruts right in the middle of the trail. Someone knocked down the jump at the bottom of the left side.

 

which route did you take? two left turns? or a left and a right? and which jump? the last one before you get to the road?

 

2 left turns, jump at the end near the road.

 

bummer about the jump. looked fun. I heard lotsof reports of it being really rutty on that far left line anyway. :?:

BTW, did anyone do anything about that huge step-down double? or at the very least actually hit it so someone knows it's possible

 

It's been done. Not by me, but some other guys who were there a week or so ago were hitting it. They were clearing it easily.

 

Left side of the landing is smoothed out. Some locals were clearing the right side. Stay left unless you think you can clear it.

 

my plan is to hit it next time i go. :wave:
