I should be able to do either day OK if I have a little advance notice to get my self together. I have a bunch of shit to do over the weekend, but can schedule it around a ride. Any chance of getting a shuttle together?

Unfortunately, no. I'm here for school, and don't even have a car, but could maybe borrow a tiny compact if we really needed it to make a shuttle work out.

OK, we'll work something out. Can I get your number again? I think you already gave it to me, but I lost it somehow. Mine's 607-220-7704.

you should have seen my crash at steps... first time riding it and i was pinned at the start.. got to the section where it drops down and gets rocky... i went full speed to launch the section and my front tire hit a rock and BOOM i'm flying in the air in full on asian squat! landed on my feet and looked up in time to duck as my reign flew over my head and landed about 20 ft from the top :bang: broke my bash guard, but the bike was fine

NICE! I'd pay to see that too :bang:

I almost did the same thing my first time down that too. just came pinning it down the first ST section, got to the first drop and had to put on the e-brake to save myself. I don't think the 5" bike would take nicely to hucking drops into rock gardens...

You'd be surprised. That drop is no more than 1.5-2 ft I think.

It wasn't too long ago that people were riding 3'' DH bikes that had the geo of todays modern XC bikes.
My Chuba did it just fine- it sounds like it's going to break, but you'll be okay.
