RR: Del Cizzle [August 16th]
So Saucey Sarah, Bret, Bret's friend Jon and I hit the cizz today. Sarah and I started riding around 5:30 while Bret and Jon joined in about an hour later. Trails seem to be in about the same condition as always. Not many other riders, other then the small xc group going up and down the fireroad and the BMX'ers at the play area.
The wooden jump on the upper singletrack has had some "work" done on it and is now higher which means more airtime. Kind of surprised me when I first did it tonight. We played on that for a bit.
Jon hit that jump for the first time - even in its new improved form. Then he wondered why he didn't jump it sooner.
Sarah said "f it" and went for it. First time coming up to it she had no speed and smartly stopped on the ramp. However, on the 2nd attempt she went for it and although fairly nose-heavy, she made it! Congrats, Jon and Sarah!
O and some showoff BMX'er hit the huge double after that jump ](*,), :lol:.
Found another nice jump spot on the extra credit DH singletrack after slalom. Bret tried it a few times, but didn't clear it. That one needs mucho speed.
And of course it wouldnt be complete without me crashing. On the concrete drop to flat-loose-rocks I got squirly and went down. As always - went down smiling
