OK guys the wife and I are going to try out this trail everyone seems to love; Del Cerro. This will be our first time there so can someone tell us where the best place to park, start from for the more hard core rider types ie; jumps, drops. You know the fun stuff. Whats more fun to take the D.H. rigs or the D.J. bikes. Just for your info we dont do XC. Thanks for your help. Rob

Go up Crenshaw Blvd. (south) until it dead ends. Park your car. Ride down the fire road just past the gate. For fun GET OFF OF THE FIRE ROAD! Enjoy your ride but remember that you have to go back up what you came down. Oh, and almost all trails off of the fire road lead back to the fire road. Beware of rude hikers and watch out for lots of doggie walkers. Horses are not uncommon either. Lots of XC weight conscience riders (AKA known as spandex fags!) too.

Go down the fire road to the water tower. Nice little jump area there. Either continue down that path for some nice doubles or go left just past the water tower for some nice DH stuff. Lots of fun single track. Many drops and a few doubles. You gotta find most of em.

Did I mention to get off of the fire road?

Screw the fire road, you can veer off to the right from the top of the trail and take the singletrack down to the water tower. Del cerro is a fun place to ride but unless youre down for some serious exploring, I highly recommend having a local show you all the trails and different runs people can take.slalom, badlands, slow or die, ski jump, the three bears, rock jump, fireroad drop, ski drop, waterfalls, toilet bowl, and north shore(needs to get re-built) are some of the lovely main attractions at del cerro. Any other spots that i missed?

:) Thanks guys . Thats sounds loads of fun . I'll give it a run today and will try to hook up with some of you on the weekend for a tour. We normaly head out to Castaic or Elings on the weekend so it would be nice to find something close by besides the whoops. Thanks Rob

 Maybe Sunday; There is a group getting together Saturday morning at 8:00am in Fontana(Southridge) I would like to make that since there is an upcoming race in November. Are you guys down with some Southridge, nothing like having someone push you a little harder. C'mon out.
