So I went OTB last week on a double jump. The jump was on a turn and I oversteered and caught a ditch on the inside. Destroyed my ff and got bruised up. Didn't think much of it.

Well, Wednesday, I started limping. I wasn't limping the day after. And now when I move my leg certain ways, a pain radiates down my leg for a minute.

My best guesstimate is that I fractured a thigh bone or my pelvis. Since nothing is displaced and there is no bone protruding I haven't gone to a doctor. Gonna give a couple more weeks and if doesn't go away, I will be seeing a doc.

Sad thing is, I'm off the bike. @&$€£¥!

I wouldn't give it a couple weeks man, sooner the better! don't let it heal out of alignment although it sounds like a pinched nerve. Get well!

A fractured femur or pelvis is excruciating and not something that would gradually creep up on you. Radiating pain sounds like a pinched nerve, possibly at your lumbar discs. Regardless, get x-rays now to rule out anything major, and to get start proper treatment before you do irreversible damage. Sorry to hear about your condition - healing vibes your way.

Like everyone else said before, don't wait, get it checked now before it gets worser (work jargon;)). On the bright side you can with 99% certainty rule out a fracture of the pelvis or femur. Again, as said before, you'd know immediately. The intense pain and obvious signs of the body's compensatory systems would have told you right away. "So you're sayin there's a chance?"

I'm not too sensitive to pain. I've actually ridden and gone to work with 3 cracked ribs and a broken finger. I finally went to the doctor when finger couldn't unwind from a curl.

Pinched nerve eh? Well, I'll get a check up then.

The pain comes from whenever my thigh muscles contract, which is a constant habit of mine when I stetch lying down. Didn't even know I stretched so much until now, coz when I do, I will feel the pain start to radiate. Sometimes, it will also hurt when the hip joint rotates, such as when I cross my legs.

I try not to aggravate it, but stretching and crossing legs are like subconscious actions for me. Sucks.

If there is a crack in your femur or pelvis, you'd be down. Trust me, I've broken my femur, and dislocated a hip. Cracked ribs and a broken finger? Puhhleeeassse!

Glad to hear you are recovering. Inflamed lumbar (back spasms) or deep bruise on thigh - or both - was probably the cause of your radiating pain. That's good news.

Check out a video of Cam McCaul breaking his femur at Colorado Crankworx. He tries to get up! I can't watch it, so you'll have to do your own searching.

    Glad you're feeling better Bing.
