Rob and Mike and I are doing Marshall Canyon on Sat Art......going down would be like when we back at Turnbull but it's about a 6 mile ride up to the top. You need to get that seat higgher so you can pedal up hill and be able to drop when we go down....this will be important here.

Yup, get those brakes and seat post workin right. A new helmet will do wonders too. The cross chaining issue is pretty easy to fix. Try and only use the biggest crank cog (front) with the smallest 3 cogs on the cassette (rear), the middle crank cog with the middle 3 cogs on the cassette and the smallest crank cog with the 3 biggest cogs on the cassette. The chain really needs to be straight or things get wonky. I haven't been to Marshal but if you're gonna climb over 6 miles, you gotta pace yourself. It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock & roll...

No they won't. Ricardo and the boys always take care of their customers. As far as Turnbull goes... After 20+ years of romping around in those hills it's like the Led Zep song goes, I can't quit you babe...
Art, work on the basics right now. You don't need a dropper.

The kids wanna hit a couple sections of the loop tomorrow. Wanna join us?
Do you have a pipe cutter or saw? You could cut the seat post you have just above where it's bent and at least be able to drop it. It'll suck on the way up but you'll be able to lower the seat for the fun part.
