Wow! Temps dropped noticeably today to make for some pretty good riding weather. Lake Forest was plenty comfortable, anybody else feel/take advantage of the temps?

I would have but my fork is broken..... :(
No ride today, looks like it will keep getting cooler and by the weekend might be nice out...hope hope hope

Matt...bummer what is wrong with it?

More than any other bike issue, I have had bikes down, more often, and for longer due to suspension forks problems.

That is why I keep at least two bikes around.

Def. cooler today. It's niiice. Too bad I didn't ride today though. Tomorrow will be a different story though. Doing a post-work cizzle ride.

The fork clicks when it goes down and the shop doesnt wat is wrong with it so they have to send it back to sram. Which could be a month. Im converting my old bike to ss and it should be done tommorrow and it has a semi new fork on it so im stoked for that.

it was ok but i wore pants so it was still pretty hot
And who's fault was that? [-X  I've been wearing shorts to work for what seems like the whole summer.

Decided to hit Del Cerro today as I figured it would be cooler than Westridge/Sullivan. Still hot, but managable. I was sweatin' my azz off once I finished the climb back up to the top. This was my first time riding it and might be my last for a while. I am still a newbie and while I can climb some moderately steep stuff, the steep stuff at Del Cerro was so loose (almost like sand), I couldn't hold my traction and had to walk up a few spots. Still fun though and didn't crash once, despite this being my most technical ride yet.

However, no MTB outing for me is without mishap. On the drive home, I noticed the bike on the roof rack was not seated properly, so I pulled over on the side of the road where there was a 2 foot high wall I could use to climb on to get to the bike on the roof. I pulled up next to it, jumped up on it, secured the bike and managed to slip off of the wall and fall down the embankmant behind it. Luckily there was a bush right behind the wall to break my fall. I wasn't hurt despite being shirtless at the time. My only reaction was laughing my ass off at myself hanging there upside down in a bush on the side of the road. It was comical. I dragged myself back up to the road, dusted myself off and headed home. I am such a klutz.

Still a fun afternoon...
