On the way home from the gf's house at 1am tonight, I ran into a sobriety check point. Once I told the first officer that my ID was in my laptop bag in the trunk, he sent me to the side where the inspection people where.
So the 2nd officer walks up and I tell him about my ID so he has me walk to the trunk to get it, and asked if I'd been drinking. I open the trunk to get the ID and the first thing he does is shine the light on my Yeti and goes - "those are nice components, what kind of bike is that?" So then we talked a bit about biking, turns out he has a stumpy and rides chino hills a lot. I even showed him the socaltrailriders sticker on the side of the car and told him he should log on if he ever needed riding partners.
Oh . . . on the way to the girlfriend's house I was driving behind an Accord which had a SocalTrailRiders.org sticker above the passenger side tail light. Anyone know who that is?
:bang:
