Hadley is down the street from me. That might be my next set.

BTW, does anyone have experience with those Stealth hubs with the one way bearings? My buddy has been riding a similar hub for a little bit now and he says it's great so far. I'm just wondering if anyone has anymore input. They seem to be the ticket but are damn expensive.

This review pretty much sums up everything that everyone has been talking about on this thread re: hubs -

    http://www.ridingfeelsgood.com/comp...ing-hadley-industry-nine-dt-stealth-and-hope/

The review doesn't touch Easton or Crank Bros - and as the title of this thread suggests, probably doesn't have to for the former. As for the latter, there are plenty of threads about CB hubs blowing up on this and other MtB forums.

^^^^ My buddy is sick and tired of his CB wheels
In 1 yr I think he has gone thru 3 drivers on his back wheel and the wheels are half different colors as that how many spokes he's broken

I run Hopes on pretty much all my bikes as I love the loud clicking  and only problem is a few bearing and I upgraded to hybrid ceramic and still going strong

Yeah, Hadley is a tiny old school, mom and pop shop that doesn't care about marketing.

I have snapped 2 CB axles, broken 2 spokes, and burned up a set of pawls.....in about 8000 miles on 2 sets of wheels.

Update, after fixing the bearing, the wheels have been through about 6 dh days. They're holding up well. Wheels remain true, just required a couple of hair width adjustments and tension was well balanced, rear wheel averaging 24.5 and front wheel 23, of the Park tension gauge. Just a couple of spokes were lower or higher by 1 click, attributable to breaking in. Put those back in line, with the true.

Over all, fairly happy for a close out wheelset. Sturdy, reasonable weight, looks good and required just a little TLC to work perfectly.

    Update

So, I talked to the Sam at Race Face. He told me no problem the cracked freehub is warrantied, just take it to a bike shop and deal through them. So I took it to the place I bought them (Jensons) and handed the freehub over to Seth just before he moved to Indiana. He told me he'll be gone but he'll leave it with the guy who does warranties who isn't in that day. Needless to say, I spent the next 3 weeks trying to get a hold of the guy in the warranty department just to see if he got my freehub and how's it going. He never answered his line and never called back. It finally seemed like I was getting somewhere when I spoke to someone in the service department and asked to speak with Justin or Rob. All of a sudden they seemed to be jumping through hoops and said they'd take care of it. I let a few weeks go by before checking up again and again I started to get the run around. When I finally got a hold of the guy in the service department he told me he can't find my receipt but don't worry, he'll make it right. That was over a month ago and nothing.

"F" Jensons and the lazy punk ass kids that work there!

BTW, I got sick of waiting so I ordered the freehub from Ebay

What I like best about CK hubs is the auto braking due to the drag....saves my brake pads.

With Hadley hubs I go through brake pads much faster........
