So all this talk by JoJo about a century got me motivated to do one today.

I left my house in Temecula at 5am to beat the heat of the back country valleys on north SD. I had a plan in mind and it combine 3 diffeent rides I had done in the past, just not all at once. My garmin locked up at mile zero and never started rolling miles. So I was bummed when the sun came up and I saw that.

I ended up passing the 5 major Casinos that the area has to offer, so I was never too far from a buffet.

Here's the milesstone of the route:
    1. Temecula to Pala Via Pala hwy.
    2. Pala to Harrahs Rincon via hwy 76
    3. Rincon to lake Wolford to Escondido
    4. Escondido to Del Mar past Lake Hodges via valley pkwy
    5. Del Mar to Oceanside bike path
    6. Hwy 76 to Gird rd/live oak canyon
    7. Mission rd. Fallbrook to Rainbow canyon and home

I beat the sun coming up just past Valley view casino and was in costal haze all the way till I hit the oceanside bike path. Hooked up with a couple good groups along the coast to save some energy with.

There were a couple places along Gird Rd. in Fallbrook that I was looking for a chase car to save me and was barley movng uphill.

I guess the highlight was the 8-10 ft. surf in Carlsbad.
It' a good weekend to own a surfboard.

Got home at 12:01pm which was exacly the time I was shooting for for the first time out. Ended up with 108 miles and a cool route summer or winter.
