Are all cassette bodies the same size? I ended up getting a XTR rear hub when my XT died as a warranty replacement. The regular cassette 9spd cassette fits the SS cog fits but the spacers dont. :?:

Ok I had an XT rear hub and the SS spacers fit just fine. I killed that hub and shimano replaced it with a XTR rear hub. I can fit a 9sp cassette on the hub, I can fit the the SS cog on the hub , but the spacers will not fit they are too small. The raised parts of the cassette body are taller it seems as the spacers wont even start to slide on. Is that normal?

You need new spacers. I've found a wide variation in sizes.
