15 north, 60 east, exit Country Village Rd and make a left (north), then right on Cherry.

Best way for you is to exit 60 fwy and go east to Country Village Road. Exit CVR and go left over the fwy. Follow approx 1/2 mile and turn right on Cherry. Follow Cherry through a couple stop signs and turn right at the McDonalds on Live Oak Ave. It's the second Live Oak Ave. by the McDonalds and you'll see the southridge park on your right. There will be cars parking on one of the ball fields. Don't go all the way up to the 10.

From Riverside we go the 15 to the 60 and exit Country Village Road.

Any sunday racers remember that the Neckcar race is going down on sunday.... any access from the 10 is gonna be rough. Jurupa from the 15 or Country Village from the 60 is gonna be the way....

Also, parking seems to be more limited than Bonelli, and Bonelli was more crowded than I can remember, even being a Cat 2 who got there at 7:30 in the AM....and Saturdays for Southridge XC there's not too many of us until we swap parking spaces with the DH practice crowd in the afternoon.

For those who aren't there at the crack....any areas that look like parking in the surrounding hood that we should beware of (how's the shopping center across the street?)

Last year, they parked us in the adjacent softball/baseball fields - on the grass - hundreds of us.

They have done that last 2-3 years.

Also you wont be able to park in the normal lot or in the dirt, unless you have a camping spot reserved or if you are a vendor.

Updated XC Lap Counts for Cat 2 and 3

I just talked to Tom Spiegel @TBB this morning. Since Cat 2 and 3 are not climbing the same "big hill" as the Pros, the lap times can be as fast as 20-25 minutes, so he is changing the Lap counts to 3 laps for Cat 3 and 4 laps for Cat 4. His thinking is yes, it will be a little longer, but he feels that most people will want that.

The last time I raced XC was 3 years ago before they changed the course due to the silly endangered sand flies. I raced Sport and the 3rd climb up the road always killed me. For finals that year, he let my class decide how many laps they wanted to do and I picked 1. It was fun because it was a sprint for the entire lap (which for me on the long course was 1 hour+)!!! Have fun!!!

It's not that it changed, the formatting on the website was cuckoo, they have since fixed it.

I remember the old course. Before all the houses in the middle. I always thought the second climb was the worst, but the descent after that climb was always tons of fun (the descent that dropped you down into the trees with the concrete slabs where it looked like lots of kids went to play paintball).

Just got this email, better now than once we are lined up to start like last year.

CAT 2 racers: After reviewing the course conditions today, we have determined that all CAT 2 slated to do 3 laps, will now do 4. Please take note and pass this along. Thank You. US Cup Staff
