Great fun meeting all you guys on Saturday. I was exhausted with all the picture taking, Rockstar drinking and yapping I was doing. That may have explained why I had to take a nap

Thanks to Lee, Ryan and Chris for letting me try out their machinery - My SS and XC bikes together dont weigh as much as the lightest of your bikes so it was certainly a work out having a play on one of those!

    Keith,
No kidding about the workout! That was the first time riding that bike, and doing all of those sprints on the 4x course wore me out! My arms and shoulders were a bit sore. I'm somewhat glad the enduro I was supposed to race on Sunday was cancelled (although I wish I knew before leaving my house at 5:00 am and driving up to Gorman).

I'd still like to give this a shot, but the opportunity to practice is just not looking good. I'm out of town this weekend, and have an unavoidable commitment the following Saturday.

So looks like my best chance to pre-ride the course would be during the week after work. Coming from OC, I could at best get to Southridge by 3:45 pm, but it would likely be a bit later.

Sounds like the place is open for practice during the week, but how late? Maybe a better question, does it ever close? And is the DH course marked, or otherwise easy to read/follow? If not, anyone relatively close by want to come show this noob around?

Worst case, I ride it the first time during the Sunday practice session...but I'd much prefer a run or two under my belt before then.

Thanks for any help/info., guys. It's appreciated.

Ladd Jasper, we've never met, but if you'd like to meet up at Southridge next week one afternoon/evening, pm me. This is my last week of school, then I'm free! It's just open riding there, never closes, and I can show you the runs, can get confusing without banners up.

Hey Ryan, is that the rock double at the top of the lower rock garden you're jumping? That thing looks huge from that angle, not that you don't go big, just a sweet angle on that jump!

My picture was your 2nd run through there if I recall Ryan - the first time through you seemed to have a slightly different line, I also think you got more air and that tail whip you did scared the hell out of me - looked cool though!
