    I usually carry 3 sandwich bags with 2 scoops of perpetuem in each bag, 3 granola bars, 2 hammer gels. All fits in one pocket. That works out well for most of the day. I plan on having some solid food at each rest stop as well.

    I will be on the same black trek 5500, grey helmet, in Green Share or Rwanda jersey...going slooow

    Cold and windy??? HECK YES!!! Well, maybe not cold, i was out this evening and the temps were perfect, of course, the morning will be freezing. I think the winds will pick up around 11 or so. West to east. Been like that the past 3 days, like 20mph winds. I am in moreno valley, so the route goes past my house in the am.
