We hit Bootleg today and had a great time, despite brutal winds that kinda cut our day short.. it was gusting so bad a couple of times we thought Ryan would get blown off the trails, and it was so bad we could not even extend higher to get to Snakeback and Reaper.. dirt was blowing everywhere.. not ideal! As a result we had to keep it at BS/GS and below but still had a great time.. in hindsight it would have been better to ride Saturday and spend Sunday at the pool rather than the other way around.. and was hoping to run into Kriller and Bing out there but no such luck.. anyway, as usual, it's never boring and always humbling chasing my kid down the trails at BC and got some great video footage.. here are a few pics from the footage.

Sorry we didn't meet up. Bing got hurt yesterday and I stayed out too late last night. Glad you guys had a good time. That gap jump is pretty long. It's a weird jump; there's no lip on it so you have to haul ass to kinda coast over it. That's cool that your son hit it up.

Gayest injury ever. I clipped a rock face with my new 780 bars coming outta that first shelf drop on Snake Back. I "may" be out 3 weeks :( (Trail rides ok) You're kid is hitting that off camber rock face in the first pic like a champ. For the life of me, I kept gravitating to the extreme left line on approach. WRONG! Kudos.

That's too bad. I'm sure your pinky has already ran off with another pinky. Too bad it couldn't end up with a Thumb so it won't be "gay"

Bing sorry about the injury.. you did it on that little steep waterfall section after the first big right hand turn? Heal up dude!

Jim and Ryan - cool - glad you are out there tearing it up and yet, trying not to get blown away (literally).

Bing - sorry to hear about the injury. When I heard you got hurt, I was hoping it wasn't bad. Glad that's all it was. You'll be back before I will.

No there is a small lip on that one.. you can't see it because in that pic I have just hit it and he's already about 10 ft into his jump.. it's low but you come in with speed and you just sail.. if you look at pic#3, right next to his helmet you can kinda see the lip coming up.. it's a fun section of the trail with a few small jumps and some cool low berms..
