My wife and I are in Boise. I rented a hard tail and rode some local trails. It was great fun.

The green belt is a very pleasant ride. It is flat, twisty and paved. There are lots of bikers, runners and walkers. They are all very courteous.

There is lots of single and double track in the hills. Most seem to connect to make loops of varying length. The climbs are challenging but not brutal. The land managers and property owners seem to be pro-MTB. I encountered many bikers, but no hikers or equestrians. I strongly recommend tubeless tires as there are thorns and punch flat potential.

it was hot; around 100. However it never felt nearly that hot. So long as you are moving and have airflow, its very tolerable. Bring something to make shade and bring lots of water.

i look forward to my next visit.
