Early start at Black Star Canyon today. The intent was to actually hit Baker Canyon for open access, but due to heavy fog and super slow drivers, I got to the trailhead after the gate opened and saw so many hikers that I decided on just Black Star today, LOL.

Climbed up to the start of Two/Three Monkey's with a little detour on Puhu Connector to get off the fire road. Once at Two Monkey's I took a short rest and then dropped in. I attempted the super steep loose section for probably the fourth time and didn't clean it. I think I will stick with the ride around from now on.

I veered left at the fork for only my second ride on 3rd Monkey. Fun trail, with some tight switchbacks. I am not sure what I like more, that one or the end of Two Monkeys.

Climbed back up to the gate and dropped in B* top Singletrack Down (or apparently B* Dingletrack). Whomever named those needs work. Fun blast down and then rolled right into Booby Trap, which is riding great right now. Not a PR, but only 4s off so not bad.

From there just the usual short singletracks on the way down and then Hidden Trail which I like a lot. I have had good progression on that one going from walking the steep part to doing it relatively easily. Scored a PR today and plenty of time to find.

Not too many people out on Black Star proper .... I guess they were all at Baker Canyon today. Weather was great, a bit windy in some spots but not bad. Great day for a ride!

I made a YouTube account for some vids. Don't expect any editing other than start point end point, lol. I barely organize pics, sure not going to edit videos.

This is Booby Trap start to finish.
