An early morning start on Saturday for Black Star Canyon. After driving through super thick fog on Santiago Canyon, Black Star was an oasis of sun, but not too hot.
The usual boring ride up for the most part ... but someone has been building side trails up around the Indian area. Pretty fun XC singletrack actually. If you make a left right after the Mariposa Reserve, you can ride singletrack from there to almost the end of Booby Trap. Much better than riding a fire road.
Many eBikes out there ... a group of them decided to stop in the middle of Booby Trap to take pictures, right in the middle of the trail. Unreal. I rode up and around again and got a clean run on my second attempt and got a PR, so that was nice.
Coming down is always a lot more fun than going up, as I took all singletracks back down from the ball. Good ride.
