So it was the 2nd annual bike the bay "BTB" today and for a fun ride it was pretty nice. The roads were in good shape except for the last 6 miles around the Navy base going back into downtown. There were 2 MTB and 1 tandem that held pace through out the ride. They were the ones keeping me going and I finally got ahead of the tandem around the 13 mile mark and cleared the 2 MTB at the 22-23 mile mark. All sorts of people and rides were there so if you mark the calendar for next year just put fun ride with a friend. If you are like me get there about 6am and hang out by the start line so you don't have to sift through the pack. The biggest challenge is the bridge climb, besides that it was a good time.
