It was fun riding with you! Didn't mean to take us on such a gnarly trail.. LOL! Damn those downhill hike a bikes ;p Lets ride backbone when I'm around your area!!

Totally good times! My legs nearly turned into spaghetti on my 5th run. It was nice putting faces, names to str screen names. Thanks for putting this together Thomas! (Now setup the Mammoth trip) Oh yea, thanks for the beer too!!
 
Finally tuned my suspension up before this ride and felt a lot more confident this time around. So much so I actually did the log roll in pirates. Did a couple of runs up until closing and got a gnarly sunburn that still hurts today. Aside from scratches from the branches on fall line everything went well. Thanks for putting together this ride and was good to meet some of the STR peepz.
 
Riding big bear with everyone was awesome! The weather was perfect and most of the trails were in excellent condition. Can't wait for the next trip up there.

So I am thinking of bringing my 9 year old up - he is pretty good for his age and I figure it should be fun if we stay on the xc trails. Any thoughts? He has a crappy hard tail - you think it will be fine if I throw some wider tires on there or is it worth renting a FS bike? Just curious if anyone has gone with younger kids - he is all excited to go but my wife is on the fence....

I took a couple of runs with an eleven year old and his father both on hard tails i think it is 2n57 a fire road to the right off the lift near the bottom it hits a bit of single track back to the lift in front of a few cabins.
 
Thomas -- How wide are your handlebars?!?!?! It may be the camera, but they look like they are about 4' wide!! What's your measure on those longhorns?...

just checkd that vid.... n!ce stuff thomas. I like how u caught me pu$$n out on that log roll and then cut back into u doin it- Next time i want u to film me goin over it- Hopefully ill fall on my face (that would be a kodak moment) ;$ Dont know y im scared of those things?? wtf ;)

we are headed up there this saturday on 6/11 I called and asked about the group rate they said 15 or more peoples is $15 each
