The Norco range looks incredible! I've heard about how good Knollys are, but I can't get over how hideous the linkage looks!

Man your bike must be really out of date.I really resent all this linkage-looks bashing. Don't you know my Knollys were designed by Escher?
And you attribute that to carbon vs aluminum? How about 26er v 29er? How about longer spokes? More lateral leverage? Your 29er will have a lot more flex than your 26er even if they were both carbon.
That said, yes a carbon version of the exact same bike with the exact same wheels/tires/components is usually stiffer laterally, or so I have read.
Finally, I was hoping to see where someone knew something about bike materials. Carbons life is indefinite whereas aluminum with moderate riding has a life expectancy of approximately 6 to 7 years. Tortionally carbon is 10 times stronger then steel and twenty-five times stronger then aluminum.Aluminum has a finite life. Every time it is stressed it weakens. After enough stress it will break like a beer can. I broke (fatigued) 3 aluminum bikes. Now I ride carbon.

That is a great video. Haven't seen that one before. If the Warden came in carbon I would probably have one on order right now.
