Day 2 was staged at South Mountain in the Phoenix area. This time was no shuttle, and total mileage was about 16 miles if I remember correctly. We rode the Mormon/National loop with some extra stuff at the top. These trails were some of the rockiest and most technical trails I've ever ridden. Miles and miles of very fun stuff, with lots of places to play around on. We don't really have anything comparable to those trails here in so cal. Here are my pics:
All of the riders gathering before starting the technical climbs.
This is just a glimpse of what the trails looked like.
This was the waterfall section that we played around on for a long time. The pics don't show the steepness of it, definately intimidating but most all of us cleaned it.
Craig on his way down the waterfall.
Dell on the biggest drop part of the waterfall.
Kippie about to do that same drop.
This shows the bottom part of the waterfall as Dell is coming down.
A view from the top of the waterfall as some guys hike up.
