AWD mountain bike. Claims the awd system weighs 2.3 lbs. Prices for bikes start at around 3000 with average components though. And I have no idea how it would handle the elements . . .

Good idea but I dont think it can work that well :?:
 
I am kinda wondering what the purpose would be. I think that AWD is fairly uneccessary on a bike. I am also wondering about it's long term durability.

I think this pops up every few years or so. I remember hearing about an AWD bike a few years back.
 
Yeah, the Christini guys have been struggling to hit the mainstream with that boat-anch..er, exciting idea for several years. To their credit, they have refined the design to be a lot lighter and more durable.

Let's see that thing get caked up with mud and still function...interesting idea though
