I ordered a pair of Hope pro 2 and mavic xc 717 rims . I was extremely impressed when they arrived in a week . I've ordered parts from shops in the States that took far longer than a week .

It's taking a lot longer these days. Took me 1-2 weeks in Jan 2009. Took more like 4 weeks lately. The shipping isn't a problem. They're just overloaded with custom wheel requests, especially since the GBP has been tanking. They've even taken off the pair of wheels option.

I was tempted on ordering a set of Hope/Flows from CRC a month ago. Since they are always out of stock, I decided to contact Hope directly. They said they are extremely back ordered on CRC wheelbuilts at this time. Go ahead and place your order through CRC and they take them in the order they receive them... could be 6-8 weeks.

I ordered a set of Hopes on Mavic 819's in mid May and didn't get them until mid June. The problem isn't shipping, it's that they are so back logged on custom wheel orders that they cannot keep up.

If you can wait 2 months, CRC has the best deal on factory build Hope hoops anywhere.

why don't they tell you if they're backed up on orders... jesus, i mean if it says 2-5 days for the build and a week or so for shipping, it had better be about that much time, dammit!
should i shoot them an e-mail or what?

Why would you send them an email? Your order is not even a week old. I would give them a chance before you jump to conclusions based on hearsay. Just my .02

So i think that means that it's here in the US, has cleared customs, and has been shipped out from there to my area? Right?

Another thing about CRC is that you don't want to return anything back to them. Make sure you order is exactly what you need. Returns are a real PITA. Also, make sure you inspect the package right when you get it (at the post office or when you sign for the package at your home). The last order I received had a huge rip in the box. I thought for sure some of the parts came out, but everything was there. :)

Anybody care to elaborate on the tracking info? Particularly the status and the top two entries?
