About the OP, and Turnbull. I'm aware of a road by that name, known for its curves. Is it the same one (and do people ride it)?

Turnbull Canyon in Whittier. Road guys climb the street and the hills around that section of Whittier. MTB guys hit the canyon for some dirt fun. Both are the same location. Heads up though, the city has just made all the little streets around this area a permit only parking zone so watch for the signs. I think Greenleaf is still a good spot to park.

Yep that's the one. I vote trails--I've never been on the road, but if it's like GMR I would rather not ride it. I don't even like the idea of driving it. GMR has a blind-turn accident every other time I go, usually as a passenger.

Post a pic of your bike when you get it.

In true lurker style, I went afk again. Even after I got my bike. Various factors have prevented me from getting a ride in to aliso, santiago, el morro or up to the luge (my usual roattion so far). Just 1 fullerton loop ride the day I picked it up from Fullerton bikes. They gave me a killer deal and also were very helpful in setting the bike up for me (they set my sag and rebound and stuff!)

So here is my sad bike in my driveway. This sunday for sure i will see what it's got.

Congratulations!
That is one sick looking bike. Love the color.

We (Sunday Fully Loop riders) can help you "see what it's got."
JSD can help you see what pedaling long distances feels like.
Dakit and Bike the Planet can show you proper push-a-bike technique. :)
Ryan and Little Vincent can help test your bikes jumping capabilities.

Enjoy!

Thank you. I do need to hang out with you guys so I can maybe pick up some advanced techniques.

Push-a-bike though is something I am very versed in lol
