Attn: Newbs and Lurkers.....

Well dino brown I have tried on many occassions to invite people out to ride with no luck. As a matter of fact gandpa and fat guy are the only ones so far that has tried to meet up with me. I am about to give up on this forum. This is sad because I am a new rider and it is discouraging. Hopefully not all new riders get the same feeling or the trails will be getting empty. Us newbs look to you more experienced riders to learn from and the only thing I am learning is once a group is formed it is hard for them to see anyone outside of it.

Think maybe it has more to do with your location than anything else. Except for the occasional trip up to Hurkey Creek, I don't travel to Hemet.

you should go to the oaks group ride this sunday It will be just like the CHills ride/bbq But the trails are a trillion times better!

sorry you feel that way neil. this place really is a great place. most on here are pretty far from where you are. i'll contact you soon to coordinate a small group ride with you out at simpson or santa rosa.

Simpson park is not the only place I posted. I posted ITT also. Figured I would meet people half way.

There's a camp out planned up at Hurkey Creek. Since you live in Hemet and very close to there, you should go up even if just for day to meet up with STR members. If not to ride, it would be good to hang out.

I plan on coming out just dont know if I can camp until I see my work schedule.

Like others have said, it's not that we don't want to ride with you it's that Hemet is pretty far for most of us. From my house it's an hour and a half drive each way.

My post was in regards to what dino said in the sticky original post. It states that you get out what you put in to this site. He states that if you continue to post rides that you are going to take than someone will show up. That is not true. I drove almost 2 hours each way to attend my first STR ride. I just figured that everyone says that the riding here is so good that someone may want to show up and ride.

Keep on keeping on. I looked at your posts and found 3 rides where you didn't get anyone to join you? I've had that happen to me WAY more times. It happens... Don't let it discourage you. You should check out the ride Gene's talking about.

well, here is to being a newbie

I'm in chino hills and willing to meet with anyone who has the patience to deal with a beginner. I know that once I'm more experienced I will help guide new bikers. So here I am. Able and willing to meet! :)

i mostly ride turnbull canyon tuesday 8:30am and i am free weekdays morning after work . hope to ride with everyone else and with you Dino. (i would say i am slow uphill)

Well, I ride with my sister so if you dont mind two newbies, Im in :)

We will have a Newbie Ride July 14th at the Fully Loop..CHeck the calendar section as well as the trail head section for details. We go VERY slow and make sure everyone has a guide around the whole course. Stay tuned!

So my question is this.
AFTER I finally do the Fullerton loop, whats the next step up in terms of trails? Telegraph in CHSP has been done. Next is Fullerton, then what? Someone told me San Juan in Elsinore is good for beginners, but that is not what Ive read up on it. Thanks in advance :)
